2019 Workshops

Bloom with a Guided Heart- Women’s Hormone Health Workshop

October 2019

I highly recommend joining Cherie on her workshops because she always puts her full effort into empowering women with knowledge to improve our own health. She creates a warm and comfortable environment that encourages inclusivity and collaboration. My favourite part about this workshop in particular is the detail she went into with how the body responds to nutrition which then effects your menstrual cycle. Cherie reminds us that it is important to respect and appreciate your body as it the vehicle used for everything that we do.
— Jessica Tran
I like how the workshop was divided into two parts, it really creates a nice atmosphere by switching between one topic to another. Overall, it was a good experience for me by experiencing what yoga is like for the first time and learning about the menstrual cycle in depth. Loved how Cherie showed the types of healthy food to eat.

I feel motivated to take better care of my health. It is hard to pay attention to to my health when I’m busy with work and other commitments. Attending the workshop helps me keep in check about menstrual cycle and realise how important it is. Thanks for the wonderful workshop Cherie!

June 2019

I’ve always been interested in understanding what having a good nutritional diet looked like but find it very difficult to navigate online – seeing the “Simplifying” in the event name really drew me to it. It was great, I really liked her kind and gentle approach to the workshop. I felt immediately welcomed and included, and Cherie created a nice environment for everyone to get along. From the workshop, I Realized that having a good balanced diet will look different for everyone and that’s OK! Before attending the workshops I was struggling with how to manage to eat good food when busy with work and other commitments. I really liked the 10 Nutritional Guidelines hand out. Also found the Circle of Life activity nice just to reflect on where I am in life at the moment and what I’d like to improve on. I would recommend the workshops to my friend Govand cause she’s recently been on a health kick and trying to force me to watch health documentaries.
— Safaa Idris
I decided to go to the workshop because I wanted to learn ways to nurture myself. I found Cherie’s workshop interesting and insightful. I learnt healthier habits and behaviours to approach the way I eat and I learnt more about self-love and compassion. Cherie gave useful suggestions and I enjoyed the sharing and discussion part where all the women shared their health stories and gave suggestions on healthy food ideas to each other. Her workshops are full of content and I would recommend them to anyone interested in health, nutrition and self-care.

The reason why I attended this workshop was to gain and understanding of Cherie’s perspective on nutrition and how it fits in with her lifestyle. I felt very welcomed and supported being amongst the 10 women. I got to be in an environment to share my own thoughts surrounding nutrition, think about how I see food and hear about other’s perspectives. I enjoyed the Circle of Life activity and have thought about it a bit since then. Separating components of my life and reviewing my progress has been interesting as it can change daily .I would recommend women who want to put a stronger focus on their health but don’t know where to start.
— Jessica Tran
I attended Cherie’s event to connect with new people.I felt welcomed, I felt valued and grateful for the genuine words and advice shared by Cherie. I gained the realisation that I’m not alone, and everyone has their on story and struggles. I’ve struggled with Having low thoughts of myself and being too harsh on myself. Cherie helped me with the circle exercise that “hey my life isn’t has bad as i at times think it can be and that I should be grateful for the amount of love I have in different areas of my life”. I enjoyed the The circle of life exercise most. I recommend Anyone on their journey of self development to come to these workshops.
— Natasha Greville
I attended to get some tips on how to improve my eating habits and be more mindful about my choices. Cherie had a great way of creating a safe, judge free environment and encouraged participation and open conversation with tailored tips. I gained insight into how eating well can improve other parts of our life and things to consider. There’s a lot of talk about what’s ‘healthy’ and what’s not so this gave specific advice about how to structure food and the balance (like the 80/20). I liked the sharing and discussion part, the 10 Nutritional guidelines and takeaway sheets. I’d recommend this workshop to other women who want to make changes but are unsure of how to begin, how to measure progress and are harsh if they fall off/break the cycle.
