Body Enquiry on Bracing

Where do you brace?

I thought it was normal to feel tense in my diaphragm area.

As a result, I would unconsciously hold my breath and gasp for air throughout the day.

As I pay more attention to this area, I recall certain stories and moments where I’ve had to brace myself, in fear, in uncertainty and self-doubt.

After all, we brace to protect and defend ourselves when we perceive something as fearful or threatening.

Through breath work and gentleness, I notice the gradual softening in this area, in my body, myself, and to the world.

It is safe to be who we are.
